Mission Statement

HKYLA is a 501(c)(3) public charitable and educational organization dedicated to teaching and promoting the sport of lacrosse among youth in the Haddam and Killingworth communities.  Through structured teaching and age-appropriate programming, we provide athletes with strong foundational skills and progressive development opportunities that foster both individual growth and team success.

We believe that participation in youth sports plays a vital role in child development, equipping young people with skills and values that extend well beyond the playing field. HKYLA is committed to cultivating sportsmanship, integrity, teamwork, discipline, and a strong work ethic in every participant. By creating a positive, inclusive and supportive environment, we help youth build confidence, resilience, and leadership skills that contribute to lifelong success.

Our organization is dedicated to ensuring lacrosse remains accessible to all families, regardless of financial circumstances, and to expanding opportunities for youth participation in a healthy and enriching athletic experience.
